Thanks for stopping by. I would love to tell you a little about myself and the novel. I'm a Houston based author and Love Lust & a Whole Lotta Distrust is my debut novel. I’ve just completed the sequel Secrets Sins and Shameful Lies. I absolutely love to write...and about controversial topics. My writing covers a wide range of topics, and taboos of relationships. I’m a sucker for a love story, so I write love stories with a twist. :-) If I had to choose a genre for the book I would say, contemporary fiction, it lies somewhere between romance and erotica, sexy scenes and heartfelt relationships are both in the pages of Love Lust & a Whole Lotta Distrust.

Hi Christy,

I love this question. The very first thing to hit me was the title. It was actually the first thing I came up with, before the story was ever written. I remember sitting at my desk at work, with the idea for my book whizzing around my head. ( I always feel an overwhelming excitement when I get an idea for a new story.) Anyways. I knew that I wanted the title to be HOT. Something that people had to take a second look at. I started to brainstorm, writing down over and over different words and phrases. Finally I came to Love Lust and Distrust but felt I needed more. Minutes later it popped into my head and I ran with it. LOVE LUST & A LOTTA DISTRUST was born!!

It was alot of fun writing the sequel, I was excited to see my characters come back to life. The wait for Secret Sins and Shameful Lies will not be long. The planned release date is March 2009 so it is right around the corner!!! Check out the cover!!!

When did you figure out that you had the gift of telling a story that both young and older women could relate to?

Thanks, this is a question that I haven't been asked before... :-) I think I realized when I decided I wanted to write, (several years ago) I knew that I wanted to write stories people could relate to. Most of my stories and novels deal with love, relationships, transgressions, and matters of the heart. I believe love, and every emotion that emerges from being loved or in love is a topic that transcends all age barriers, all color obstacles, and all sexual preferences. Love just is...well love... and it's something that I know everyone can relate to in some form or another.
