About Me:

Oh my gosh, there's so much to tell, where do I begin? If I started at the beginning, there wouldn’t be enough room. With that in mind, I'll start where it's most relevant. I’m a published author of sensual/erotic romance and I currently have three books available through Red Rose Publishing.

Now more about me. Though, I currently reside in Atlanta, GA. I am not a true southern gal. I was born and raised in the chilly Midwest. As a child, I spent much of my time alone, being the youngest in my family. You know how it is; nobody wants to be bothered with the baby. My love of reading didn't allow this to be an unhappy time. Curled up with a good book would remain one of my favorite past times, well into my teen years.

A vivid imagination compelled me to begin writing stories of my own just about the same time I entered high school. The turning point in what I wrote came my junior year, when my friend Doris introduced me to my first romance novel. Though I was completely hooked on romance from that point on, it bothered me even at that young age that there wasn't a good selection of African American books. I knew then that my stories would center on the love shared between my people.

I adopted the persona of the, "Urban Romance Author" because I feel my romances deal with real life and real issues prevalent in today's relationships. Of course, I write the sweet and good relationship sagas, but I also tell the gritty, complicated, and yes sometimes-hurtful relationship stories.

As I got older, my life became decidedly more demanding of my time. Fresh out of high school I met Laville the man that would become my husband. After over twenty years, he is still my husband and my biggest fan. We have five beautiful children.

Over the years much has changed in my life, the one constant variable has remained my love of reading and writing. With the love, support, and encouragement of family and friends, I found the strength to share my passion with others. Someone very wise, that I respect a great deal, once said to me. "If you are lucky enough in this life to find your true gift. Don't let it go to waste because you fear rejection or ridicule."

I love writing more than anything, with the exception of my family. When the average person thinks of the perfect job, many times they think in terms of $$$$. When I think of the perfect job, I think how awesome to do something you love and get paid for it! Truly, the best of both worlds.

I’ve written a romance/relationship column for an online magazine and occasionally guest co-host on two Blogtalkradio shows. The shows are Eros Radio with the fabulous, "Lady Eros" and Dark Chocolate World with brother “Dark Chocolate” himself. Both shows air on Friday nights @ 11:00.
